Terms of Service

Welcome to Singdu

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Singdu Android application, the Singdu KTV browser receiver and connected-screen features, and related services (together, the “Service”). Singdu is a music-based language-learning experience that combines interactive lyrics, translations, pronunciation guidance, vocabulary practice, learning progress, optional connected-screen playback, and optional community features.

By downloading, accessing, creating an account for, or using Singdu, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 and legally able to agree to these Terms where you live. If the law where you live requires a higher minimum age to use the Service, that higher age applies. If you have reached the applicable minimum age but are not yet legally an adult, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms and is responsible for your use of the Service.

Your account

Some features are available in guest mode, while others require an account. When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate and current information, keep your sign-in credentials secure, and promptly tell us if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

You are responsible for activity performed through your account. You may not sell, transfer, share, or create an account for someone else without permission, impersonate another person, or use a username, profile photo, or other account information that violates another person’s rights.

Using Singdu

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Singdu for lawful, non-commercial language learning, subject to these Terms.

You may not: • copy, sell, rent, sublicense, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service or its catalog; • scrape, harvest, or systematically extract lyrics, translations, vocabulary, user information, or other data; • reverse engineer, decompile, bypass, or interfere with security or technical protections, except where applicable law expressly permits it; • use bots, scripts, exploits, or other unauthorized methods to manipulate learning progress, community activity, availability, or operation of the Service; • upload malware, overload the Service, probe for vulnerabilities, gain unauthorized access, or disrupt another person’s use; • use Singdu or its content to build or train a competing product, dataset, or machine-learning system without our written permission; or • use the Service in any way that is unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful.

Music, lyrics, and learning materials

Singdu helps you learn with song-related materials, which may include lyrics, excerpts, translations, transliterations, pronunciation guides, timing data, vocabulary explanations, artwork, and embedded media. These materials may belong to artists, songwriters, publishers, record labels, platforms, licensors, or other rights holders. They are provided only for personal learning and enjoyment. Using Singdu does not give you ownership of, or permission to reproduce, distribute, publicly perform, download, or commercially use, any song or related material.

Translations, transliterations, pronunciation guides, timing, difficulty ratings, and vocabulary explanations are educational aids. Language is contextual and these materials may be incomplete or inaccurate. Singdu is not a testing body or an accredited language course, and we do not guarantee a particular learning result or level of fluency.

AI-assisted catalog content

Songs identified as “Singdu Original” are original catalog works created for Singdu with the assistance of generative artificial-intelligence tools and may also include human direction, selection, editing, arrangement, performance, and other creative contributions. AI involvement does not mean that every element is free of intellectual-property rights, and the copyright status of AI-assisted material may vary by country.

License for Singdu Original Songs

Subject to these Terms, Singdu grants you a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use the audio recording and lyrics of a Singdu Original Song in your own videos, livestreams, podcasts, social-media posts, presentations, and other audiovisual projects, including monetized projects. You may reproduce, edit, synchronize, publicly perform, display, and distribute the song only as part of that project. Where Singdu specifically makes an instrumental version of a Singdu Original available, the same project-use license applies to that instrumental version unless Singdu labels it otherwise. Attribution to “Singdu” is appreciated but not required.

This license does not allow you to distribute a Singdu Original Song or its instrumental version as a standalone music release, stem, or stock asset; sell, sublicense, or make it available for others to extract; register it or any materially similar version in Content ID or another rights-management system; claim exclusive ownership; use Singdu branding in a way that suggests endorsement; or use the material unlawfully. This license applies only to material identified as a Singdu Original and does not cover third-party videos, songs, lyrics, artwork, trademarks, user content, or other third-party material that may appear in or through the Service.

Singdu will not knowingly issue copyright claims against a project that uses a Singdu Original Song in compliance with this license. Automated systems or third parties may still make mistaken or conflicting claims, so Singdu cannot guarantee that a platform will never flag, restrict, demonetize, or remove content. If that happens, contact support@singdu.site with the project URL and claim details. You remain responsible for any other material in your project and for following the platform’s rules.

Third-party video and services

Singdu may display thumbnails or play videos supplied through YouTube and may rely on services such as Google sign-in, Google Play, Firebase, Google Cast, Google code scanner, and Google Play Integrity. Third-party content and services are controlled by their providers and may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies. Your use of YouTube is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service.

Singdu does not host, own, or control third-party videos and is not responsible for their availability, accuracy, advertising, or content. A rights holder or provider may block, remove, restrict, or change content at any time, which may affect a song’s availability or interactive learning features.

KTV and connected screens

Singdu may let you pair the Android app with a television, Cast device, or browser receiver that you select. The paired screen may display song information, lyrics, translations, pronunciation guidance, highlighted vocabulary, playback state, and other session settings. Only connect to a screen you control or have permission to use, and make sure people who can see that screen are permitted to view the displayed material.

A Singdu KTV browser pairing code provides temporary access to control that session. Keep it private, do not post it publicly, and end or refresh the session if an unexpected device connects. You are responsible for actions taken through a pairing code you intentionally share. Singdu may expire, interrupt, or end a session to protect the Service or when its supporting providers are unavailable.

Connected-screen playback does not expand your rights in any song, video, lyric, translation, artwork, or recording. Except for the separate Singdu Original license above, KTV is for personal, non-commercial use. You are responsible for obtaining any permission required for public, commercial, venue, classroom, broadcast, or livestream use.

Singdu Pro purchases and subscriptions

Singdu may offer monthly and yearly auto-renewing Singdu Pro subscriptions and a lifetime, one-time purchase. The benefits, price, currency, billing period, and any trial or introductory terms available to you are shown before purchase. Subscription benefits provide access only while your subscription remains active; lifetime access remains subject to these Terms and the continued operation of the Service.

Purchases are processed by Google Play and managed with RevenueCat. Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically and Google Play charges your selected payment method at the start of each billing period unless you cancel before renewal. You can manage or cancel a subscription through Google Play’s subscription settings. Uninstalling Singdu does not cancel a subscription.

If you cancel, you generally retain access until the end of the paid billing period. Refunds, payment disputes, regional cancellation rights, taxes, and price-change notices are handled under Google Play’s terms and applicable law. We may change the content included with Singdu Pro as the Service evolves, but an active subscription will continue to provide sustained Pro value.

Advertising

The free experience may display banner and interstitial ads supplied by Google AdMob. Ads are shown only at designated placements and natural transitions. Singdu Pro is intended to remove Singdu-served ads while its entitlement remains active. Advertising availability, content, and delivery are controlled partly by Google and may vary by location, device, consent choices, and advertiser demand. Do not interact with an ad unless you genuinely intend to do so.

Community content

Singdu may let you create a profile, share a lyric or learning moment, add a personal story, react to posts, connect with other learners, submit feedback, report material, or otherwise provide text, images, or information (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content and remain responsible for it.

By submitting User Content, you confirm that you own it or have all permissions needed to share it. You grant Singdu a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and technically format that User Content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, improve, and promote the Service. This license includes allowing our service providers to process the content for those purposes. It ends when the User Content is deleted from our systems, except where limited retention is reasonably necessary for backups, safety, legal compliance, or resolving disputes.

Do not submit User Content that: • infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights; • is illegal, threatening, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, defamatory, sexually exploitative, pornographic, or excessively violent; • reveals another person’s private or confidential information without permission; • impersonates or deceptively misrepresents a person or organization; • contains spam, scams, unauthorized advertising, malware, or harmful links; or • encourages self-harm, dangerous conduct, or other violations of these Terms.

Moderation and reports

We may review reports and may restrict visibility, remove content, limit features, suspend accounts, or take other reasonable action when we believe these Terms, community safety, third-party rights, or applicable law may have been violated. We are not required to monitor every post and cannot guarantee that all content will be accurate or appropriate. Community views belong to the users who post them and do not necessarily reflect Singdu’s views.

If you encounter content that may violate these Terms, use the in-app reporting tools where available or contact us. Do not misuse reporting tools or knowingly make false reports.

Child safety standards

Singdu has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or any attempt to sexualize, exploit, solicit, or endanger a minor. Users must not create, upload, share, request, link to, store, or promote this material or behavior.

Report suspected child-safety violations through the in-app reporting tool or email support@singdu.site. We will investigate reports, remove prohibited content, restrict or terminate responsible accounts, preserve relevant information where lawful and necessary, and report apparent CSAM or other child exploitation to the appropriate regional or national authorities when required by applicable law. Singdu complies with applicable child-safety laws and cooperates with valid legal process.

Intellectual property

Except for User Content and third-party materials, the Service—including its software, design, branding, mascot, interface, features, and original learning materials—is owned by or licensed to Singdu and is protected by intellectual-property laws. “Singdu,” its logos, and related branding may not be used without prior written permission.

If you believe material available through Singdu infringes your copyright or other intellectual-property rights, email support@singdu.site with your contact information, identification of the protected work, the specific material and its location in Singdu, the basis for your claim, and confirmation that the information you provide is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act for them. We may remove or restrict material while reviewing a claim.

Feedback

If you send ideas, suggestions, or feedback about Singdu, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation to you. This does not give us ownership of personal information or User Content included in the feedback.

Changes and availability

Singdu is an evolving service. We may add, modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue features, songs, learning materials, or community functions. We may also perform maintenance or release updates that affect availability. We do not promise that the Service or any particular content will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

You are responsible for maintaining your device, internet access, and any carrier or data charges needed to use Singdu. We recommend keeping your own copy of any User Content you wish to preserve.

Account suspension, termination, and deletion

You may stop using Singdu at any time. Where available, you may request account deletion from Settings.

We may suspend or terminate access, remove User Content, or restrict features if you materially or repeatedly violate these Terms, create risk or harm for Singdu or others, or if required by law. Where reasonable, we will consider the nature of the issue before taking action. After termination, your right to use the Service ends, but provisions that by their nature should continue—including intellectual-property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute provisions—will remain in effect.

Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Singdu is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. We do not warrant the accuracy of lyrics, translations, pronunciation, timing, vocabulary, community posts, or third-party content; that the Service will meet your requirements; or that all defects will be corrected.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, consumer guarantees, or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Singdu and its service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, goodwill, opportunities, or business interruption arising from or related to the Service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Singdu’s total liability for claims arising from or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Singdu for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or US$100. These limitations do not apply where liability cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

Resolving concerns

Please contact us first if you have a concern about the Service. We will try to resolve it informally. These Terms do not prevent you from contacting a consumer-protection authority or using any dispute process or remedy available to you under applicable law.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to Singdu, the law, or our practices. We will update the “Last updated” date and, when changes are material, provide reasonable notice in the Service or by another appropriate method. Unless a different date is stated, updated Terms take effect when posted. Continuing to use Singdu after they take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

General

If a provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our permission. We may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of the Service, subject to applicable law.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented for a specific feature, form the agreement between you and Singdu regarding the Service. If a translated version conflicts with the English version, the English version controls to the extent permitted by law.
